Thoughts on LeBron

I have always been a huge LeBron James fan. Ever since he graced the cover of Sports Illustrated about 8 years ago I was amazed by him. I now am just bewildered. Not because the Boston Celtics beat the LeBrons, the Celtics have 3 Hall of Famers (Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, Paul Pierce) and one of the best players in the league (Rajon Rondo). But because of how LeBron played. He was not involved AT ALL in the offense. A player of LeBron's skill and physical capabilities needs to be attacking the rim, not staying in the corner opposite the ball side, no less in the PLAYOFFS.

I hope he goes to the Knicks, and gets Chris Bosh to follow, Tracy McGrady and David Lee to stay. If that MIRACLE somehow occurs the Knicks could trot out a starting lineup as follows:
C-Chris Bosh
PF- David Lee
SF- Danillo Gallinari
SG- LeBron James
PG- Tracy McGrady

McGrady has gone on record saying if two big name free agents come to NYC he will take a reduction in pay to play with them. Gallinari is already locked up, and hopefully Lee would be willing to take a paycut. I know, very unlikely but still, can you imagine that team playing in Mike D'Antoni's system? It would easily be the most entertaining basketball team in my lifetime.

I hope we do not get a re-match of the last two years for the finals (Celtics-Lakers, Lakers- Celtics) and I do not think we will.

The Magic look great and so do the Suns. Steve Nash is proving he is still the best point guard in the game, and the Magic are a real life video game team.

About this blog

I'm starting this blog about sports, none of the obscure sports, the major ones. The posts will vary, some will be in depth with statistical backup, others will be opinion based. I will try to post on here twice a week, hopefully some of you will write responses back and there can be a somewhat decent dialogue going.
